About Us

Originally founded as ACTIONN, our organization has been active in Northern Nevada since 2011. Over time, our organization and vision for a more just world have grown to include both Northern and Southern Nevada. In 2021, we officially launched as a statewide organization: Faith in Action Nevada.

We are rooted in transformative local organizing led by communities of faith and those directly impacted by racial and economic injustice in both Clark and Washoe County. In turn, local organizing drives our powerful grassroots advocacy and voter engagement at the local, state, and federal levels.

People of faith play an important role in our organizing.  We strive to center their voice and develop their leadership so that our collective work is rooted in shared values of love, justice, equity, and abundance.

We also aim to center the leadership of those directly impacted by racial & economic injustice: people of color, low-income communities, and other marginalized groups. We believe that people closest to the problems have the best solutions. Through organizing, we develop leaders within their own communities to choose the direction of our work, build power to influence decision-makers, and create systemic change.
